All About Me
I was born and raised in Queens, New York. After graduating from Concordia College, in Bronxville, New York, I taught fifth grade for three years (one of which was a fifth/sixth grade combo class) and two years in first grade at two different private schools in the area.
While visiting Colorado Springs in 1998, I fell in love with the mountains and fresh air. Within one month, I had packed my bags leaving behind the hustle and bustle of New York City.
Since living here, I have taught in Harrison D2 and District 49. This will be my 29th year teaching and my seventh year teaching at Ridgeview Elementary! I'm excited to be teaching third grade again. I love being a HUSKY!
I have two children myself. Emma is twenty and lives in Iowa. Karlyle, my son, will be in seventh grade at Skyview. My husband, Mr. Levi and I have been married for fourteen years. He was a teacher and now he's the Principal at Odyssey. I have an awesome cat named Pumpkin. She acts like a dog and is my buddy. Our family rescued a Staffordshire Bull Terrier puppy a few years ago and her name is Delilah. She makes our family complete.
Teaching is my passion. My teaching philosophy is knowing the whole student and getting each and every one of my students to LOVE learning! Thank you for giving me the opportunity to teach your child.
